Your Initial Exam: Neurological & Muscle Assessment
We will perform a spinal assessment through our neurological and structural analysis. These results are utilized to tailor your chiropractic corrective care plan. In our Council Bluffs chiropractic office, we use surface electromyography or sEMG to scan your body for tension and stress. sEMG is the same technology utilized by an EKG to measure your heart, only sEMG is focused on measuring electrical output of your muscles. We use this information in combination with your health history and postural X-rays for a full state of health prior to your adjustment. After that you will schedule your Doctor’s Report of Findings where Dr. TJ will review the results of your initial assessment and go over your corrective care plan
What else to expect on your initial visit to Chiropractic Essence:
DIGITAL X-RAYS
We have a full digital X-Ray suite on site and take postural X-Rays so we can better understand the state of your spinal health. This is done to find any loss of curve or irregular curvature, fracture, degeneration, or loss of disc space in your spinal column, bone spurs or other notable health concerns that cannot be detected during the other evaluations.
A full spinal examination will help us see where structural shifts and subluxations may have occurred. Once Dr. TJ has ruled out any possible risks prior to adjustment, he will then perform an integrated adjustment leveraging manual manipulations and Torque Release Technique to correct subluxations.
